Launch the Cheeze JukeboxWelcome to the musical portion of Cheeze Grader, where taste is on trial and ears could be damaged. Guilty pleasures? You better believe it. This is the home of montage music and those idiosyncratic closing credits songs you just can't get out of your head. You can play individual songs and read musings about them by clicking into the song titles, or you can browse the site while listening to The Cheeze Jukebox, a pop-up, Flash-driven MP3 player featuring our library.

Explorers: Less Than Perfect - Red 7
A movie about imagination, hope and the promise of childhood, 1985's Explorers was bolstered in part by songs like this one from the Michael Becker outfit Red 7.

Fletch: Bit By Bit - Stephanie Mills
Who knew that soulful 80's pop starlet Stephanie Mills would pair so easily with Chevy Chase that comparisons to the matching goodness of peanut butter and chocolate would be made? No one. And thus, everyone was right with only me left to love this peanut butter cup of pop all alone.

Night of the Demons: The Beast Inside - Dennis Michael Tenney
This song is so balls-out late-80's hair metal that we need to actually figure out a way to have it lacquered and preserved for all of eternity (perhaps with hair spray?) so that visiting alien races millennia from now will truly understand why the planet died from ozone depletion.

One Night Stand: Secret Sanctuary - Odette Springer
Bad cinema often begets bad music, and here we have the interesting case of "Secret Sanctuary," a song by an intense lady who may have been driven to whistle-blowing thanks to this song.

Real Genius: I'm Falling - The Comsat Angels
Though they never quite broke out with mainstream success, The Comsat Angels will be remembered by many for this fantastic bit of 80's pop nostalgia from most everyone's favorite Val Kilmer movie.

Real Genius: Number 1 - Chas Jankel
Now a Jazz musician, Chas Jankel has been making music since the early 1970's, and this synth pop dance tune, (a #1 club hit in France) made for one of the best montage sequences in the classic 80's comedy Real Genius.

Vibes: Hole in My Heart - Cyndi Lauper
Mis-matched co-stars Cyndi Lauper and Jeff Goldblum didn't make much of a splash with this dog of an 80's comedy, but Cyndi's hit song makes you almost wish you went and saw the movie. Almost.
